Michelle, this a beautifully written piece. I share similar thoughts, knowing a lack of action on my part is not a option. Am finally joining the local Democratic contingent to help them in local efforts. It starts here. Wishing us all the best, knowing watching and cringing gets us nowhere good.
I'm so tired of wanting better for our country and having to fight against a cult. I don't know why 20 million people decided to stay home and not vote, but we will be paying the price for a very long time. The thing is, it will not affect me as much as my children and their children. I'm coming close to collecting social security, and I hope to reap the benefits of the money I paid in, but it's not looking good now.
I’m exhausted and mad as hell. But I’m a fighter at heart, so carry on I will. My daughter is 30 and her generation, at least those who know and care about what’s happening, are strong in their convictions but realistic about what lies ahead. It makes me incredibly sad.
I share your hope. The more successful Trump and his billionaire cronies are at implementing tariffs and deportations the sooner we will experience skyrocketing consumer prices followed by a major crash of the economy. People will also not appreciate attempts to cut Social Security and Medicare/Medicaid/ACA to give tax cuts to the rich. Perhaps it will be enough to wake up the clueless MAGA base and foment a popular revolt against the tyranny of our common enemy the oligarchs.
Well, actually I am an Aries. My daughter gave me that sweatshirt because we both love the design. But I am intuitive to the point that I drive myself crazy with an overload of situational awareness. Thus, the reason I am an artist (painter) and writer is so I can expel all that energy out into the universe! Thanks for noticing.
Agree 100%... still having difficulty even listening to the news that I was previously glued to. Hang in there! Sue

Good for you! I will have to test the waters in Sequim. I know one thing I will be doing on January 20th, 2025: celebrating Martin Luther King Day. 👊
